A little about me, I am a music industry studies student with a love for music in visual media. I have always had a love for listening and analyzing soundtracks from films, television, and games. Not only how it enhances a scene, but also what is it telling us that the film is not directly telling us. A true music in visual media buff!
While the type of music I listen to and enjoy in my everyday life is quite diverse, I do have a background in classical music. Hence the heavy mentioning of the genre in this blog!
One of my favorite animated movie soundtracks: How to Train Your Dragon.
Some of my favorite music genres: Classical Music, Classic Rock, J-Rock, Soul, & Soft-Hip-Hop (Honestly a bit of everything).

There are quite a few pieces and songs out there that we have heard countless of times. Whether that is in the movie theaters, in your home, or even in an elevator, these are songs are known by the mass majority simply because of its constant use of it around us.
The questions are: how are they being used, and why? Is it because it's easy to license? Written for the intention of the context? The go-to song for the scene? Or simply for nostalgic reasons?
Many of these well-known songs have become as famous as they are for the right or wrong reasons, and I thought it would be fun to find out!
Is it a classic or a cliché?
Although I am including my opinion on the matter, I will give you information and context for you to form your own opinion! Whether you agree with me or not, It's up to you to decide for yourself!
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thank You!
